Industrial Relations Amendment Act 2023

The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and under the Industrial Relations Amendment Act 2023 (Amendment Act), section 2, has proclaimed today, 15 December 2023, as the day on which Schedules 1.1 and 1.3 commence.

Consequent on the commencement of Schedule 1.3 of the Amendment Act, the Chief Commissioner has re-issued Practice Note 6 (PDF, 148.1 KB) setting out the manner in which parties are expected to satisfy ss 23 and 146(2) of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 in respect of applications by consent for new awards and variation of existing awards.
