10 March 2020

The Commission recognises that the outbreak of COVID-19 may raise some concerns for parties and representatives attending the Commission.

In line with current COVID-19  medical advice the Commission will to continue to operate business as usual and parties and representatives are expected to attend the Commission if they are healthy and not displaying symptoms. The Commission will continue to monitor the Commonwealth and State Governments’ announcements and health advice.

If:

you should not attend the Commission, and you will not be expected to do so.  You should contact the Registry as soon as reasonably practicable at irc_client_services@justice.nsw.gov.au or 02 8688 3516.

Prior to making contact with the Industrial Registry and where practicable the Commission expects that you will contact the other party or parties to the matter and advise your circumstances to them.

The NSW Government has issued advice to focus on the minimisation on the spread of the virus in the community. It can be found at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/diseases/Pages/coronavirus.aspx
